Let me explain the title of the blog - I know there will be reactions to it. By definition most of us don't know what we are getting into when we decide to become parents. Seems easy enough or we are waaaay overwhelmed. Somewhere in between it the truth for most of us. For many, becoming parents is a sweet decision - hopeful and with a belief in the goodness of the world and a desire to add to that goodness. For many, we stumbled into parenthood - whether planned or not - without a clear understanding of how we did this! (Of course we know 'how' but it still baffles us.)
So there we are.
